This wholemeal chocolate chunk loaf is a lovely breakfast/snack idea that feels a bit less naughty than a normal chocolate loaf. It also has a reduced amount of sugar, which makes it a perfect indulgent treat!

There is really nothing I love more than a loaf for my breakfast or a pick me up during the day, it just keeps me going and makes me incredibly happy. I also feel like there’s so many possibilities to it in terms of what you can have it with, yoghurt and any sort of fruit are on top of my list.
I love finding different ways to make it, which I honestly never ever get tired of.
This is how I made it
All you need to make this lovely bread is: dark chocolate, butter, brown sugar, honey, greek yoghurt, vanilla extract, eggs, wholemeal flour and baking powder.
- The first thing to do is to beat together the butter, the brown sugar and the honey.

- Then, add in the greek yoghurt and the vanilla and mix them together well.

- Once mixed, add in the eggs, one at a time and mix well until combined.
- Then add the flour and the baking powder and mix again.

- Now it’s time to add the chocolate, I divided mine using the divisions that are already on the chocolate bar, so when you eat the loaf you will find some lovely big chunks of chocolate to bite into. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

- Fold in the chocolate carefully with a spatula and then transfer it to a cooking tin. Cook in a preheated oven for at 170 degrees celsius for 45 – 50 minutes, until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
- Let it cool down and eat! I like to cut mine into slices and keep in a sealed container for extra freshness.

And enjoy…
