Maple Pecan Cookies with Maple Glaze
Chocolate chip cookies step aside, not everything is about you! These cookies contain all the staple autumn flavours – soft, chewy, and loaded with crunchy pecans and real maple syrup for that warm, rich flavor we crave this time of year. And as if that wasn’t enough, they’re topped with a sweet maple glaze that takes each bite over the top. Perfect for fall afternoons, holiday gatherings, or just because, these cookies are super easy to make and taste like a hug in dessert form. So, what are these made of?
These cookies are super quick and easy to make, guess what, no chill required! And they are made with some basic ingredients I’m sure you’ll have around the house, all you’ll need is:
- Butter
- Brown sugar
- Maple
- Egg
- Plain flour
- Bicarbonate of soda
- Vanilla extract
- Pecans
- Icing sugar
- Milk

Maple Pecan Cookies with Maple Glaze
Ingredients (makes around 12 cookies):
For the cookies:
- 115 gr of butter at room temperature
- 150 gr of brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 90 ml of maple syrup
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 300 gr of plain flour
- 1 tsp of bicarbonate of soda
- A pinch of salt
- 150 gr of chopped pecans
For the glaze:
- 60 gr of icing sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp of maple syrup
- 1 tbsp of milk
Method:
- Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
- In a bowl, beat together the butter and brown sugar until fully combined.
- Beat in the egg into the butter and sugar mix followed by the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- Once all the wet ingredients and fully combined, fold in the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Stir until combined and no streaks of flour remain.
- Finally, fold in the chopped pecans.
- Using a 5cm cookie scoop, scoop the cookies into a lined baking tray.
- Cook in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges start going brown and the center still looks slightly undercooked.
